- Please call the shop 323-934-0940 to make an appointment, and give us grooming instructions in advance.
- You must pay in advance with a credit card.
- When you arrive, please wait outside until it is your turn to enter the shop. Only one customer inside at a time.
- You must wear a mask.
- You will drop-off your dog in our daycare holding area. Please remove collar and leash, and take those home with you.
- You will pick-up your dog in the back parking area; please wait in your car and call us when you arrive.
- Customers who are experiencing cough, fever, cold or flu-like symptoms, or respiratory symptoms should not send their dog to Pour La Pooch, even if someone else drops off the dog.

A. SIGNAGE
Signage is posted at both entrances to inform employees and customers that they should: avoid entering the facility if they have a cough, fever, cold or flu-like symptoms, or respiratory symptoms; maintain a minimum six-foot distance from one another. In addition, CUSTOMERS WHO ARE EXPERIENCING ANY OF THE SYMPTOMS ABOVE SHOULD NOT SEND THEIR DOG TO POUR LA POOCH, EVEN IF SOMEONE ELSE DROPS OFF THE DOG. If you do have symptoms, visit corona-virus.la for information about testing.
Also, Signage of the SDP is at each public entrance.
B. MEASURES TO PROTECT EMPLOYEE HEALTH
Everyone who can carry out their work duties from home has been directed to do so.
All employees have been told not to come to work if sick.
Symptom checks are being conducted before employees may enter the workspace.
All employees that have contact during their shift with customers or other employees are offered (at no cost), a cloth face covering to be used at work when interacting with them.
All desks or individual work stations are separated by at least 6 feet.
Common areas such as the Lounge and restrooms to be disinfected frequently on the following schedule:
Lounge: Disinfected every 15 minutes starting at 9am, or more frequently as needed after customer drops off their dog.
Restroom: Disinfected after each use throughout the day as well as in the morning and before close.
Disinfectant and related supplies are available to employees at the following locations:
By the front door on the white table where customers my enter/exit.
By the back door in the bathroom on the sink
Hand Sanitizer effective against COVID-19 is available to all employees at the following locations:
By the front door on the white table.
In the grooming area on the center table.
At the front desk on the counter.
In the bathroom on the sink.
Soap and water are available to all employees at the following station:
In the bathroom in the wall dispenser.
Employees are allowed frequent breaks to wash their hands.
Other measures used to protect employee health include the following:
Grooming customers are now coming to the store by appointment instead of on a first come first serve basis.
Customers are scheduled by appointment every 15 minutes beginning at 8am. Customers who may walk up when there is already another client, need to wait outside at least 6 feet away from others as directed by the signage and personnel.
All customers will wear masks.
Customers will drop off their dogs by entering the store, and depositing their dog into the daycare holding area. Customers will remove their own collar and leash from their dog and take it home with them. During this time, customer will remain 6 feet away from any employee who may be in the lounge.
Customers will give grooming instructions via phone or text.
Customers will provide credit card information via phone to prevent use of the touch screen by the public.
Customers will pick up their dogs in the back parking area by waiting in their car at which time an employee will bring out their dog with a temporary lead.
C. MEASURES TO PREVENT CROWDS FROM GATHERING
Maximum number of customers in the store: 1
Customers who would also like to purchase retail items need to ask an employee for assistance before using their hands to inspect merchandise. Retail has been curated so that only sample items are on display and purchased items will be brought out from the back as needed.
D. MEASURES TO KEEP PEOPLE AT LEAST 6 FEET APART
Placed signs outside the store reminding people to be at least 6 feet apart.
Placed tape at least 6 feet apart in customer line areas outside the store.
All employees have been instructed to keep at least 6 feet distance from customers and from each other.
E. MEASURES TO PREVENT UNNECESSARY CONTACT
Bulk-item food bins are not available for self-service use.
Providing contactless payment systems by getting payment over the phone as described in Measure B.
F. MEASURES TO INCREASE SANITATION
Hand sanitizer, soap and water, or effective disinfectant is available to the public at or near the entrance of the facility, at checkout counters, and anywhere else inside the store or immediately outside where people have direct interactions.
Disinfecting all payment portals and pens after each use.
Disinfecting all high-contact surfaces frequently.
Upon finishing each dog, leash handles will be wiped down and customers will be offered a pump of hand sanitizer upon receiving their dog.
